Chainman's Hat - Galv

The chinaman's hat is cheaper option designed to sit at the top of fluing to prevent water and birds from entering the system. The galvanized version is the common version for metro houses away from salt water and in low wind areas. Not optimal to use in high wind areas due to its high draw and flow.
 
The size of the top is designed to cover enough area to stop the rain, please note that the top will differ with diameter of spigot.
